Grant Process & Applications

The Caledonia Education Foundation offers grants to promote exceptional education in the Caledonia Community Schools through programs and activities that are not underwritten by the school district.

There are two types of grant funds available, those specifically funded by a donor usually to honor a loved one with specific criteria set by CEF and the donor, and general grants offered by the foundation with more general requirements.
  • Grant applications are open to any Caledonia Community Schools staff member.
  • Seek out all possible sources of funding, including PTOs, booster clubs, community organizations, and businesses.
  • Determine which grant application form to use and complete it fully. Save a copy for your records as you work through the application and once it is completed.
  • Attach any supporting materials within your application, such as quotes, additional project descriptions, and a project budget.
  • You must have your supervisor’s approval to submit the application. Detailed instructions for obtaining approval are included in the application forms.
  • Be sure to submit your application by the appropriate deadline.
  • You will receive a confirmation email from CEF once your form has been received. If you do not receive this email within one week of submission, please contact us at [email protected].
  • If your grant application is approved, you will be required to sign a grant contract outlining the terms and conditions. Once the signed contract and a copy of the Purchase Order are returned to CEF, funds will be released to the Administration Office.
