Margaret Ann Crawford Scholarship

About this scholarship

Picture
The Margaret Ann Crawford Scholarship was established by Melissa, Tyler, and the Ohlrich children to honor their mother (Oma), an educator for Caledonia Community Schools for over 30 years and passed  away shortly after her retirement began.  Margaret has been described by high school staff and students as stern but fair, one who never let a student “fall through the cracks,” and to see the best in others even when they may not see it in themselves.  Margaret was full of life and zest and “worked tirelessly for excellence in everything she taught,” according to Kurt Hoffman, a counselor at CHS.  Margaret served as a wonderful example of someone who, although  challenged with various life events, always remained positive and smiling; she was a well respected teacher and member of our community.  This scholarship created in 2020, was established to honor Margaretʼs memory so that others might be inspired by her legacy of unconditional love  and respect for all, as she gave friendship to everyone she met.
