Endowments
The Caledonia Education Foundation has established endowments that have set aside funds in honor of individuals. These endowments generate stable funds that will help ensure continued funding for specific programs in our community for many years to come. Each endowment has its own set of established guidelines and criteria. For more information on these programs, please contact the CEF office.

The Van Bree Science Endowment
The VanBree Science Endowment was established in 2006 in honor of Arie and Katherine VanBree by their children Ken and Gloria VanBree and Nancee and John Sneed. The endowment is to be used to encourage middle and high school science students to pursue careers in science, engineering or nursing by providing students with the opportunity to visit museums, technological centers, and environmental institutions to which they would not normally have access. This opportunity is coordinated with the High School Interim week and is offered every two years.

The Bill Harrison Agriscience Education Endowment
Agriculture has been an integral component of the Caledonia educational experience since 1934. The community has been blessed with devoted teachers, parents and students who have helped create a program that serves students at the high school level. One of these teachers, Dr. William “Bill” Harrison, served the community as the agriculture teacher and FFA advisor from 1961-1973.
The purpose of this endowment is to honor Bill Harrison by creating enrichment activities for Agriscience Education within the Caledonia Community Schools, fulfilling the FFA motto that Dr. Harrison lived by: Learning to do, Doing to learn, Earning to live, Living to serve.
The endowment is managed by the Caledonia Education Foundation to benefit FFA members through scholarships, travel opportunities, leadership development and community service. Currently high school seniors can apply for a $500.00 non-renewable college scholarship.
