The Caledonia Education Foundation (CEF) seeks to remove barriers to learning by helping our students with basic needs.
Educators are often the first to see or hear about a student’s imminent and pressing issue that needs a quick solution. Schools are not the long-term solution, but they are often best positioned to address the crisis when time is crucial and before families can be connected to local resources and nonprofits for assistance. Through the partnership with CEF, the Essentials Fund will allow all CCS staff members to request funds that could be quickly made available. A simple request form can be submitted by a Caledonia Community Schools staff person to a district point person who will follow policies on how funds can be used while maintaining confidentiality.
